We recently bought the Ramkle RV Keyless Entry Door Lock for our trailer. Friends bought and installed this lock early in the season and raved about it. While we were hiding and managing keys, they were just relaxing and reminding us how convenient a keyless lock is and how easy it was to install.

The kids and I bought one for Blair for Father’s day. We have had several trips to test it out and can give an honest review.
It was purchased in through Amazon and arrived promptly, as only Amazon can. There were a few different locks to choose from but we selected this one due to the number of reviews and the high rating.
The package contained
- RV Lock
- 2 remote controllers
- 4 keys
- and the necessary hardware for installation.
The product details are clear you need to measure your current opening to ensure the lock will fit. We have a 2019 24.8 Jayco and the lock fit perfectly. We removed the old lock and install the new lock in less than an hour.

Setting the code was a bit tricky and the key pad does not have a 9 or a 0 so our ‘go to’ passcodes had to be reworked. That was our only complaint so things were moving along with ease.
The package comes with 2 remote controllers and the ability to disable their use. We left them enabled to see if we would use them but so far we have never used this feature and will likely just disable it and remove the controllers from the key chains.

The only other thing we need to get use to is remembering our keys. There is no need to have the keys for the door lock but if you forget them and your cubbies are locked you will have a bit of a challenge on your hands. Blair found himself climbing under the bed lift in order to access the locked cubbies, we now keep a set of keys in the trailer at all time.
My final thoughts: I would highly recommend this product. It was easy to install, once the code was set, it was simple and reliable to use and has added a lot of convenience and safety to our camping experience.
